Here you can learn how to manage AGIR Equipments Module permissions.
There are two types of equipment permissions: The first one is set up through the role of the Equipment Manager, which allows the user to access all equipment as a reader and editor. The second one is given through the Equipment Reader permission and can be set up either by groups or individual users.
Assigning permissions to perform equipment interventions is not explained in this tutorial (ex. maintenance). These permissions are usually assigned during the process of managing the equipment workflow itself. To learn more about it: Workflow permissions explained.
Equipment Manager Permission
Follow the steps below to give a user Equipment Manager permissions:
1. Go to the Staff Module and select the user you intend to turn into an Equipment Manager.
2. Select the Permissions tab and click on Global Permissions.
3. Select the Equipment Manager option. Save the changes.
ATTENTION A non-administrative user can only consult equipments assigned to group(s) in which the user is in. This is also true for the equipment manager, although editing equipment is now possible as a manager.
You can have several Equipment Managers, each having View and Edit permissions assigned to the equipment that belongs to the group they're in. Assign equipment to groups is explained below.
Permissions by Group/User
TIP We suggest you use only one of those types of permissions (either assign permissions by groups, or by users).
By default, the equipment permissions are presented per groups. To deal with individual permissions, follow the next steps:
1. Click on your user name and go to Agir Config.
2. Select the Equipment and HR tab and click on Advanced Settings.
3. Check the option Allow set up of individual equipment permissions and save the changes.
To select the users who should have reader permissions for specific equipment, follow the next steps:
1. Go to the Equipments Module and select the equipment.
2. Click on Groups and Permissions.
3. Select the Groups or Users who should have reader access to the equipment. Save the changes.
PERMISSIONS Only an AGIR Administrator can perform these changes.
