Links in Workflows - Why is it helpful?

Created by Inês Figueiredo, Modified on Tue, 03 Jan 2023 at 02:47 PM by Virtual Agent

Workflow registries can be related to each other, with AGIR documents or any other URL Link.

For data enrichment purposes and for an improved user experience, a link between documents and processes can be easily created using the Link feature.

3 kinds of links may be created in the Document Management module:

  • Workflow-to-Workflow link

  • Workflow-to-document link

  • Link a Workflow to a non-AGIR web page (external link)

How to create links?

1. To create new links, open the Workflow homepage and click on Links

2. Create your new links as shown in the next screenshot. Reminder: links can be created for documents, processes, and external websites.

External Link

To create a link to a web page, simply choose the name of the link, insert the URL and click on Add.

Link to Workflow Registry

To create a Link to a registry related to the current workflow, search for the desired registry and click on the link icon  (Image below).

Link to Document

Search for the desired document and click on the link icon to create a new link to a document related to the current document (Image below).

How to access Links?

1. Links are automatically displayed on the workflow homepage (Image below).

2. The current links that exist will be shown on the next list.

ATTENTION   When creating links, additional accesses aren't created. Workflow users/subscribers can't open a link which they don't have access to.
PERMISSIONS  To click on links, you only need reading permissions for the related workflow. To create and delete links, editor/approver or Administrator permission is required.
