Configuring workflows' permissions [documents/processes] - Workflow steps, administrators and readers

In this article, you'll learn how to manage permissions on AGIR workflows, whether they be workflows from the Workflows Module or the Documents Module.

TIP  To know how to configure these permissions in batch, consult this article.

Follow the steps below:

1. Go to the Staff Module.

2. Select an employee who you want to give permission.

3. Select Permissions Matrix

4. By default, AGIR shows permissions that have already been given to the employee. To define permissions, search for the desired workflow and then add/delete permissions according to the status. To see all workflows, even those the employee doesn't have any permission to interact with, click on See everything.

If you want to manage permissions for workflows, expand the workflows area, as shown in the image below:

4.1. Now, you can give permissions on several workflow steps. It is an automatic process, there's no need to save the changes.

TIP  A document workflow reader/consultant is a user who can consult all documents from a workflow inherently. They don't need to be an editor, approver, user notified, or belong to a group to have this kind of access.
The document workflow administrator is a user who can be a non-AGIR administrator and has all consulting rights over workflow documents, as well as management abilities (delete documents, change properties, reallocate tasks, edit fields, etc…).
Reminder: The workflow administrator doesn’t have permission to edit/approve a document, inherently. The workflow administrator needs permission for each workflow steps.
