In this article, we'll be showing you the procedure for uploading a new document in AGIR. Documents uploaded to AGIR must be in an editable format/file type (example: Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Visio, etc...) so that you may edit them directly during future revisions in AGIR.
Follow these steps to upload a document to AGIR for the first time:
1. Click on New document in AGIR's Dashboard or in the document module.
Uploading through the Dashboard
Uploading through the document module
2. Select the intended Workflow. Every uploaded document must have an associated Workflow.
3. Give the document a title. In case a title isn't provided, the file's name will be used as such.
4. Select the file and click on Open (this will vary according to your operating system's language).
5. Once this is done, the document will be saved and a PDF copy will be generated (and saved). This may take up to 30 seconds, depending on the complexity and size of the document.
6. Fill in the document's Properties and click on Save. Click on the Properties icon in the left menu in case the Properties window doesn't open automatically.
7. Click on Submit. The document will follow the workflow's course. Select the next task owner for the next step. In case there are no remaining steps, the upload is finished.
PERMISSIONS Having task owner permission for the first step of a given workflow is required to upload a document.
