It can be useful to share a link to our documents or make them public on the internet by giving access to entities external to AGIR, without the need for authentication.
You may need to publish a copy of the Quality Manual on your organization's website or send a link to a form to one of your clients or suppliers.
With this functionality, any user, even without authentication, can click and open a copy of the updated version published on AGIR.
This feature is turned off by default. To activate it, use one of the methods described below.
How to create a public link to a document?
1. Open the main page of a document and click on Properties on the sidebar menu.
2. Then, click on the option Allow external link to this document. Copy the link and use it as you wish.
TIP By making this configuration, you will be making this document accessible on the internet through a link. You are not losing control over the document as the link will only open a copy of the document and never the original.
How to make all the content of a folder accessible on the internet?
1. Click on your user name and go to Agir Config.
2. Select the Documents tab and then on Folders. Right-click on the folder that you want to turn public and click on Allow External Link.
3. It will pop up a confirmation window. Confirm by checking the option that says Allow external link and save.
PERMISSIONS To make a document accessible on the internet, you must have editor/approver or administrator permission. To make a folder public, you need administrator permission.
