In AGIR it's possible to remove users and their access to the platform. The deleted users don't count toward the number of active licenses.
By eliminating a user, AGIR allows us to delegate the pendent tasks from the removed user to an active user. The user's history is maintained in the system and it's possible to recover a removed user, if necessary.
It's also possible to clone permissions from a removed user to an active user. Check out this article to learn more about User Cloning.
ATTENTION There are three user data that cannot be repeated in AGIR: Name, username, and email address.
For example: if you removed a user with an email you want to reuse for another one, we suggest you replace the removed user's email with a different one, so the email gets available for another user. The same applies to the name and username.
In more recent versions of AGIR, these three data are automatically changed after you remove a user, so you don't have to change it yourself.
How to remove a user?
Follow the steps below to learn how to remove a user from AGIR:
1. Go to the Staff Module.
2. Pick the user you want to remove and click on the cross on the right.
3. A warning appears asking if you really want to remove the user. It also shows you if the user has pending tasks and allows you to delegate those tasks to another employee. In the end, click yes and the user will be removed.
The removed user can be recovered if necessary since the user remains in the system, although inactive and without any access to the platform.
How to recover a user?
Follow the steps below to know how to recover a user in AGIR:
1. At the Staff Module, click on the filter icon as shown in the image below, and select Deleted in the status field. The list of removed users will appear automatically.
2. Access the deleted user's profile, go to the Employee Form, and change their status to Active. Click on the save button (a blue one down the right side of the screen) and the user will be active again.
Note: If you're asked to fill in missing fields (such as the main job title, department, and site), it's important to fill them in, otherwise the changes will not be saved.
TIP When a user it's deleted, his name, username, and email are automatically changed (characters are added to this data so that there is no repetition of data in case you want to create a user with the same name, username, or email in the future). We advise you to review this data after recovering this user.
