How to configure father and child workflows?

This article will teach you how to configure father and child workflows.

This feature allows you to create links between processes/registries, with a process from a specific workflow acting as the father, and others from another workflow as child processes. This link can be created through a table object, so make sure you have one in your workflow's form!

To configure this feature follow these steps:

1. Select the workflow you wish to link (remember that the workflow's form should have a table object!). This will be the "father" workflow. You can select one in your dashboard, as well as in the Workflows module.

2. Select any record.

3. Click on your user name, in the top-right corner. Then, click on Designer.

4. Click on Unlock Form Editing, in the designer's toolbar.

5. Find the table that you wish to link to another workflow, then right-click on it and click on Properties.

6. Click on the box labeled Workflow and select the child workflow that you wish to link to the current workflow.

7. That workflow is now a child workflow of the workflow you're currently in!
