Deactivating a workflow in AGIR prevents the creation of new records in that flow, although users can still complete records that were already started and continue to access the history. Consultant permissions remain active, however, even users with permissions for the workflow steps will no longer be able to create new records.
This option is especially useful when a workflow is no longer in use, whether because it has been replaced by an updated version or is no longer relevant in the current context, while ensuring that the history remains accessible for consultation and audit purposes.
TIP These steps apply both to deactivating a document workflow and a process workflow. See the tip further below to understand the differences.
PERMISSIONS Only AGIR Administrators can deactivate workflows.
Follow the steps below to learn how to deactivate a workflow in AGIR.
How to deactivate a workflow in AGIR
1. Go to AGIR settings.
2. Select the Workflows tab and access Workflows, if you want to deactivate a process workflow.
TIP If you want to deactivate a document workflow, follow the same steps but first access the Documents tab.
3. Select the workflow you want to deactivate. Go to Tab 5 – Validation and uncheck Publish workflow. Save the changes.
4. The workflow is now deactivated. It will appear in red to distinguish it from the others, and the buttonto create new records will no longer be available.
